Tomorrow (Friday September 10) is the 23rd Annual Chilli Cook Off! It is one of my favorite fundraising events in Denver.
From 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Larimer Street is filled with people trying dozens of different types of chili made by each firehouse. The firemen and firewomen of Denver have a fun competition and always have really amazing chili’s for us to try. You can purchase small bowls so you don’t get too full on one, (proceeds benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association) or big bowls when you find your favorite!
Don’t forget, you can pick up a 2011 Denver Firefighter calendar (proceeds benefit Fired up forKids / Children’s Hospital Burn Center) for Christmas presents right then and there for all your friends and family.
