Just 20 minutes west of Denver is the world famous Red Rocks Amphitheater.
During the summer they have Film on the Rocks on Wednesdays. The evening starts with a live band, maybe a comedian and, of course, the movie! It’s a fun way to spend a lazy evening outdoors or depending on the band, it can be a real kick butt time – no relaxing, definitely dancing. Food and drinks are available just like they would have at a concert, or you can bring in your own.
Beware: the crowd claps, laughs loud, boos, cheers, and sometimes says the lines with the actors!
You will love every minute of it. If it is a clear evening the stars (in the sky) are amazing! It will be cool no matter how hot the day was, so a jacket or blanket to sit on is suggested just in case. Depending on the movie and the age of kids, it is a great family evening! The band starts at 6 and the movie starts at dusk.
Here is the line up for the rest of the summer: Film on the Rocks.com.
