We talk about the weather in Denver all the time. Is it because we are known to have all four seasons in one day? We are going to hit a record low supposedly tomorrow and most everyone who hasn’t lived in Denver, tend to think we get a lot of snow. After being through one snow storm it is always fun to hear them telling their family how amazing that it can all be melted the next day! When I work with out of town clients it is always funny as they realize how much the sun does shine during the winter.
It doesn’t get below zero very often.
This past Friday and Saturday it was 65 degrees. Sunday everyone prepared for the cold today and tomorrow. This afternoon the schools closing announcements started early. We really haven’t had much cold or snow this year. The mountains “got pounded” and that is great for us, as long as the mountains are getting snow, the city will have water for the summer. When they don’t get snow we prepare for water restrictions in the summer.
Facebook on Sunday was filled with everyone reminding everyone to go to the grocery store. Tomorrow facebook will be filled with photos of the kids making cookies, at least I hope so, by then I will have cabin fever and vitamin D withdrawal.
I do love that Denver has these weather swings. Mother nature is reminding us that we are not in control, hang on and enjoy the ride.
