Open Up and Try

January 21, 2011 by Amy Cesario

“…You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don’t try.” ~Beverly Sills, American opera singer and manager

Three weeks into the New Year and I am thinking about balance.  At yoga yesterday I just couldn’t find my balance.  It was a class I hadn’t been to yet, so it doesn’t surprise me that my balance wasn’t there, it comes with practice, there were new poses, I tried, I fell a couple times and I tried again.  Have you tried everything you set out to try in January?  Will you be disappointed if you don’t try them? What is holding you back?

There was one pose I didn’t try in class. I just couldn’t figure out what the instructor was saying. I was in a corner of the room that I haven’t ever been in and I haven’t ever had this instructor, the music was loud and her instructions weren’t connecting to my brain. Sounds like a lot of excuses as I write this. I watched the guy next to me do it and I drove home wondering why I went to my comfort zone instead of mimicking him.  I tried the pose when I got home.  I’ll be ready next time, if there is a next time.  I know it is only a yoga pose, but apply it to something that could really make a difference in your life.

Single and Sexy ladies and gentlemen, it’s all about what’s in your heart. Is it open to try whatever it is that you really want to do?  If you fail once, it doesn’t mean you can’t try again and be a success but you’ll never know if you don’t try at least once. Give yourself the chance to nail the pose. If you don’t nail it the first time, I bet you’ll get a second chance.
