The tour started at Civic Center Park, right in front of Denver’s City and County Building. The streets on the way were quiet, the park was quiet. I rode in thinking I wished I had my gloves, and one more cup of coffee on this beautiful autumn Sunday. We were out late the night before at Union Station where it was filled with so many people, amazing food, good friends and lot’s of laughter. I was not quite ready to be up this early but I was really looking forward to my scooter buddies and a tour of a handful of public art pieces scattered throughout Denver.
Our tour guide Dennis knew, the how’s, when’s, and why of the pieces and he did a fantastic job leading our group. So much so, that we have received requests to do it again. I am sure we will be able to talk him into it! Denver has so many interesting, beautiful, weird, ridiculous, historical pieces we could probably do one every week, but, we’ll switch it up and check out many more things Denver has to offer.
Dennis is so amazing, he took video from my GoPro and a few others and put together this awesome video!
If you have interest in riding with us, send me an email, we’ll get you set up to receive alerts on where we are meeting and what we are doing.
