Up and coming neighborhoods in Denver are the words I overheard the lady next to me say at a favorite neighborhood restaurant and I started wondering what that means to someone else besides me.
These were the answers I received when I asked a few others :
- Neighborhood on the rise
- A neighborhood that will be nice someday
- It is a growing neighborhood
So then of course, I wondered, for how long is a neighborhood “up and coming?” The neighborhood her real estate agent said was up and coming has been up and coming for at more than 15 years and in my opinion it wasn’t up and coming any more, it’s stable and good, holds its values, eclectic, not as trendy as it once was.

Growing Neighborhoods in Denver
- Now that’s a different story. Most all neighborhoods have construction going on, but here are the neighborhoods that are growing. They aren’t getting bigger in actual size; they are being built on, in and over. There is development happening. Many lots (vacant or scraped) are being built on not only housing, but retail, restaurants and/or office space is being added – some kind of growth within, which of course adds to the increase in values.
- Rino (River North)
- Northfield and Stapleton
- South East Portion of Lowry – I’ll have lot’s of details about this last undeveloped parcel soon! If you want to be on my priority list to know what is going on, send me a text or email and I’ll be sure you are the first to know.
